My favorite web site

My favorite web site would have to be Facebook. From my point of view, facebook is the most distracting site ever made. I check it when I wake up, while I'm in school, during my free-time, and before I go to sleep. I am basically on it 24/7. The site lets me communicate with my friends, see what they're up to, and I enjoy looking at pictures that they may post up from vacation. However, facebook also has it downfalls. There are many stalkers out there and sometimes I may not want people to know about my buisness. But there are privacy settings for that. Otherwise, I love this site!

Horoscope

http://www.horoscopes-love.eu/libra-2010-horoscopes.php

This horoscope is somewhat not true about myself. It is true that I am a calm and very mellow person. However, my life is not near close to well-balanced. I am very well-mannered and get along with most people. It is definitely false that 2010 is a good income year for me. I am currently jobless and looking. Hopefully during the summer, I will find a full time job. As for my love life, it is not sour at all. My relationship with my boyfriend is lovely and drama-free. We care a lot about each other and our relationship is growing. As for my family, my parents and I aren't doing well but I'm still close as always with my sisters. As far as education goes, I'm doing okay. "The Libra 2010 yearly horoscope is very favorable to Librans in the domain of health. Fine health is written all over for all Librans while they relax at their time to enjoy the goodness of life." This is a true statement because my immune system is weak and I'm usually sick all year round but somehow I haven't been sick at all.

Something that drastically changed my thinking

When I was little I thought I had the perfect family. Everything was just the way I wanted it to be. We lived in a nice house, surrounded by vast land, loved driving my Barbie charged car around, and my parents were happily married together. At around the age of 13 my parents had problems and my dad no longer trusted my mom financially. I felt my life falling into pieces when that happened. My parents are no longer together and it makes me sad whenever I think about it.
My dad is in Australia right now and my mom is still working even though she is 60 years old. I see my mom struggling and it makes me sad that I can’t help her out right now. This situation drastically changed me because I didn’t have a dad to guide me through my teenage years. I always thought my parents were going to be together forever. But things changed, and I took them for granted when they were together. I wish I would of changed my ways back then when I would be disobedient towards them. My life isn’t the same and I dealt with it for 7 years already. It still hurts inside, but its life. We all have to move forward.

From what do you learn more: films or text? Why?

I prefer to learn from text rather film. If you think about it, films come from texts and normally the films distorts the information. When reading texts you can almost imagine yourself in the story and seeing it first hand. Films are more geared towards entertainment than education.

Education in the US: are we falling behind?

When it comes to education in the U.S. yes we are falling behind. The education in the unites states has taken a big hit due to unorganized leaders. Schools have been closing in the poorest areas, these areas are where crime rates are high and homelessness is a problem. If the board of education opened their eyes and took charge, schools wouldnt be closed down which eliminates crimes and poverty. In a country where technology is unlimited there are more drop outs than graduates; in the end we are no different than third world countries

What is truth?

Truth is something that you believe is right. Some people believe that the truth is whatever isn't a lie; i on the other hand believe that truth is like beauty it lies in the eyes of the beholder

Thoughts on Plagarism

I feel that plagiarism is very wrong. We are all capable of using our own minds to come up with thoughts and ideas for our own work. It’s wrong to steal someone else’s ideas and don’t give them credit for. When a writer writes a book they spend time using their mind to come up with material that they can present for the world. But if another person were to take his or her work, then the person, who originally came up with the material, would have spent the time coming up with the material for no reason. Therefore, I feel that everyone should use his or her own mind and opinions.
